Still life of olives with graffiti inspired by what has been written on the Apartheid Wall.
Apartheid - a policy or system of segregation or discrimination on grounds of race. A deliberate policy of racial or ethnic segregation that includes:
- No right of free speech, assembly or movement
- Arrest and imprisonment without charge or trial
- Torture
- House searches without warrant
- Assassination, extra-judicial murder
- No right to vote for a government (even though it controls the lives of those under the Apartheid)
- Segregated schools, towns, roads
- Expulsion and separated families
